Sandnes Ruten Skatepark is a concrete skatepark located in the heart of Sandnes, Norway, as part of the award-winning Ruten city park. The skatepark was designed and built by Betongpark as part of the major redevelopment of Ruten, which was completed in 2021. The park is integrated directly into the urban landscape and features ledges, sliderails, banks, stairs, corners, manual boxes and quarters, creating a compact street-oriented setup suitable for different levels of skating. The municipality describes it as a concrete skate facility located beside the railway station in central Sandnes.
Ruten itself was transformed from a former bus-terminal area into a large multifunctional city park, with the skatepark forming an important part of the new public space. The project was designed by Spacegroup and Superunion, while Betongpark was responsible for the skatepark's design and execution. The redevelopment was completed in 2021 and has received several architectural and urban-design awards.
