ABOUT SKATEPARK

Risil Skatepark

Risil Skatepark, also known as Vestby Skatepark, is an outdoor concrete skatepark in Pepperstad skog, Vestby, Norway. The original skatepark was established in 2000, initially consisting of wooden elements on an asphalt surface. Over the years it was progressively upgraded, including the addition of prefabricated ramps and elements from other skateparks. The major redevelopment came in 2016, when Betongpark built a new concrete section, effectively doubling the size of the existing park. The project was developed with strong involvement from the local skate community, and the new section was officially opened in September 2016.

The park has a flow-oriented layout of approximately 600 m², combining the newer concrete section with the older parts of the facility. Features include banks, quarters, a funbox, pyramid, manual box, ledges, mini ramp and other street and transition elements, providing a mixture of lines and styles. Betongpark lists the park as having been developed in 2016 and 2020, reflecting its continued development over time.

Risil is located next to Bjørlien School and Vestbyhallen, making it an important local meeting point for young people and the wider skateboarding community.
