ABOUT SKATEPARK

Renfrew skatepark

Renfrew Skatepark, also known as 30 Acres Skatepark, is a large all-concrete skatepark located in Robertson Park on Paisley Road in Renfrew, Scotland. The park was designed by the local 30 Acres skate group and built by Gravity Skateparks, opening in March 2010.

Covering approximately 1,300 m², the park combines an extensive street section with several interconnected transition areas. The transition area is particularly varied, with a long narrow bowl, a spine leading into another bowl and a distinctive kidney-shaped pool with pool coping and tiled walls. A series of rollovers and quarters forms a separate rhythm section, allowing riders to generate speed and link features without constant pushing.

The project transformed a former putting green in Robertson Park into a dedicated facility for skateboarding and BMX. The £400,000 project was funded through the Scottish Government's Fairer Scotland Fund and the Renfrew Common Good Fund, reflecting significant local investment in action sports infrastructure.
