The skatepark was developed as Phase II of the Parque Recreativo-Deportivo de Quart de Poblet, on previously unused and degraded municipal land beside the cemetery and industrial area. The project was intended to respond to a local demand for dedicated skate facilities, particularly from children and teenagers.
The technical project dates from December 2016 and proposed a purpose-built concrete skatepark rather than a collection of prefabricated metal ramps. The documents specify approximately 1,244 m² of skatepark surface, divided into two main skate areas, although CopinRamps subsequently describes its completed skatepark as approximately 950 m². The completed park combines a central bowl with extensive street and transition terrain around its perimeter. It includes quarters, banks, funboxes, hubbas, manual pads, rails and other obstacles at different heights and levels of difficulty. This gives the park a broad range of lines suitable for different riding styles and abilities.
The facility quickly became an important regional skateboarding venue. In December 2018, the park hosted the final of the II Circuito Nacional de Skateboarding, organised by the Real Federación Española de Patinaje.
