The new skatepark in Braunschweig embraces the history of the former "roller-skating rink" and blends harmoniously into the historic cityscape. The facility was constructed by Goodcrete in 2024, spanning a total area of 1,200 m². Designed by LNDSKT, this flow park offers optimal conditions for skaters. A special highlight is the adjacent basketball court, funded by NBA player and Braunschweig native Dennis Schröder.
Because the park is situated on the site of a former water catchment basin from the first half of the 20th century, the heritage protection concept was carefully considered. Low-profile ramps ensure a seamless integration into the Prinz-Albrecht-Park, a public city park dating back to 1895.
