ABOUT SKATEPARK

Pompeya skatepark

Nestled along the revitalized waterfront of the Riachuelo river, the Pompeya Skatepark is a modern, clean, and well-structured facility. It was built as part of the city's effort to create more green spaces and athletic hubs in the southern districts. Because it is situated in a relatively open, breezy area by the water, it offers a different atmosphere than the dense, urban "under-bridge" vibe of the nearby Barracas spot.

The park is designed with a "flow-plaza" philosophy. The park features a balanced mix of obstacles, including smooth quarters at both ends to serve as turn-around points. In the center, you’ll find well-spaced funboxes, flat bars, and ledges. While it doesn't feature a deep "pool-style" bowl like Barracas, it has manageable transitions and banks that are perfect for intermediate skaters looking to improve their tricks and carves.
