Pinetons Skatepark is a 1,100 m² concrete skateplaza located in Parc dels Pinetons in Ripollet, Barcelona. The project was developed in response to a long-standing request from local young people, with local skaters and other riders participating in the planning process.
The skatepark was built by SpokoRamps, with the architectural project prepared by Argamassa. Construction began in January 2019, and by September the park was completely finished and already being used by riders.
The layout follows a skateplaza concept, using the site's natural change in elevation to create different platforms and lines. Features include rails, stairs, banks, ramps and benches/ledges, rather than a traditional bowl. The park was designed for skateboarders but also accommodates scooters and BMX.
The project was commissioned by the Ajuntament de Ripollet and Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona, with an execution budget of approximately €241,460.
