Pier 15 skatepark

Deeply rooted in the urban fabric of Breda, Pier 15 represents the ultimate manifestation of high-level design, grassroots culture, and multi-disciplinary urban sports engineering. Initially envisioned by local skateboarders driven by a firm do-it-yourself mentality, the project evolved into a permanent reality when its doors officially opened in 2014. Built by Nine Yards, this flagship venue serves as a definitive benchmark for modern action sports complexes across Europe.

Spanning a massive, highly integrated campus, the facility boasts a 1,000 m² indoor timber skatepark engineered to satisfy the rigorous technical requirements of elite international riders. Beyond the indoor arena, the campus features a 400 m² custom hospitality space, an extensive outdoor terrace, and a comprehensive urban sports park equipped with a dedicated freerunning course, basketball courts, and a premium hand-sculpted concrete outdoor bowl.

Over the years, Pier 15 has transformed from a local asset into an internationally recognized cultural epicenter. The facility's high-caliber infrastructure has played host to prestigious global events, including the Dutch Skateboarding Championships in 2017, the World Skateboarding Cup in 2018, the Volcom Garden Experience, and the legendary Pier Parade. Attracting over 70,000 visitors annually, the project showcases the true potential of turnkey execution—seamlessly merging world-class athletic terrain, commercial hospitality, and vibrant youth culture under a single, iconic identity.
