Located at 214D Hibiscus Coast Highway, Orewa, Auckland 0931, the Orewa Skatepark sits inside the picturesque Western Reserve, right along the edge of the scenic Orewa Estuary and just a short walk from Orewa Beach. The park underwent a massive modern renewal project designed by the highly respected RICH Landscapes. The design team uniquely tied the park’s obstacles into its coastal environment, utilizing a unique layout that mimics the ebb and flow of the nearby sea. One of the most visually stunning aspects of the park is a long, sweeping concrete wave transition that wraps around the layout. It funnels into a concrete taco element, providing smooth transition riders an incredible aesthetic and functional flow.
Because it is located directly in the Western Reserve, the immediate area features a basketball court, the Hibiscus Coast Youth Centre, public toilets, picnic tables, and a boat ramp.
