Located in Bairro do Horizonte in Lisbon's Olaias area, this compact concrete skatepark was created as part of a community-led regeneration project. The facility forms part of a small intergenerational sports and recreation area that also includes a futsal court and other public amenities.
The skatepark was built in 2015 and officially inaugurated on 9 March 2015 as part of a project supported through Lisbon's BIP/ZIP programme, following proposals from the local community. Before the intervention, the site had reportedly been an area used for rubbish and debris, which was transformed into a new public recreational space.
The park has a predominantly street-focused layout, with concrete banks, stairs, ledges, a handrail and flat rail arranged in a compact back-and-forth configuration. Despite its modest size, some of the ledges and obstacles provide challenging lines for experienced street skaters.
