Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

The Northeast Metro Skatepark, located at 15500 Sun Light Near Way in Pflugerville, Texas, is one of the largest and most ambitious skatepark projects in the state. Spanning over 41,000 square feet within the massive Northeast Metropolitan Park, this "behemoth" was designed by New Line Skateparks and built by American Ramp Company in 2012. It serves as a flagship destination for the Austin metro area, offering a scale and variety of terrain that can accommodate hundreds of riders simultaneously across all skill levels.
The design philosophy for Northeast Metro was to create an "outdoor park that skates like an indoor park," focusing on high-speed flow and a dense concentration of technical obstacles. The facility is divided into several massive zones, including two enclosed multi-section bowls with vertical extensions and tombstones for expert transition riders. These are complemented by a sprawling snake run and a technical street plaza that features granite-capped hubba ledges, a "ribbon" fountain feature, diverse stair sets, and rails. A unique highlight is the replica "ditch" section, which pays homage to Texas’s rugged DIY skate heritage by providing a polished, high-performance version of classic concrete drainage channels.
Constructed with high-durability, smooth-troweled concrete, the park is engineered to offer maximum grip and speed while standing up to the punishing Central Texas sun. The facility is fully equipped with professional-grade lighting for night sessions, which are essential during the hot summer months. Because it is situated at the far end of a 420-acre park, the skatepark offers a dedicated, high-energy environment away from quieter park activities. Today, Northeast Metro is a legendary stop on any Texas skate tour, recognized for its sheer size, its "mini-golf" aesthetic with green grass patches, and its role as a premier training ground for the region's top athletes.
