ABOUT SKATEPARK

Moor park skatepark

Moor Park Skatepark is a public skatepark located on the eastern side of Moor Park in Preston, Lancashire. Designed and built by Freestyle Skateparks, the facility forms part of one of Preston's most important historic public parks and is recognised by the city as a dedicated focus for skateboarding. The skatepark provides a combination of transition and street-style terrain for local riders and sits alongside the park's extensive recreational facilities, including football and cricket pitches, basketball courts, bowling greens, an outdoor gym and play areas. Moor Park itself is a Grade II* registered historic park, originally laid out in the 1830s and significantly redesigned by Victorian landscape architect Edward Milner in the 1860s. The skatepark adds a modern action-sports facility to this historic green space and remains an active part of Preston's public recreation network.
