Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

The Melfort Skatepark, located in Saskatchewan’s Spruce Haven Recreation Area, is a 9,000-square-foot facility that has become a shining example of small-city community spirit and modern design. This park was designed and built by New Line Skateparks in 2018, following an incredible grassroots fundraising campaign led by the local "Melfort Skatepark Group." The facility was developed to replace an aging wood-frame park, providing a permanent, world-class concrete destination that serves as a cornerstone of the city’s multi-million dollar Spruce Haven expansion.
The park's design is highly inclusive, focusing on "all-wheel" accessibility to ensure it serves skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter users of all ages. The layout features a masterfully balanced mix of transition and street terrain, including a large "bowl-lite" flow area with rhythmic hips and pockets that allow for endless lines. The street section is technical and crisp, offering a variety of ledges, manual pads, flat rails, and a central A-frame feature. One of the most distinctive aspects of the Melfort Skatepark is its aesthetic integration into the surrounding park; the facility features custom green-colored concrete accents and thoughtful landscaping that complements the adjacent community garden and playground.
Beyond the riding surface, the city prioritized user comfort by installing dedicated seating, shade structures, and lighting, making it a safe and welcoming gathering place long after the sun sets. Since its grand opening, the Melfort Skatepark has been lauded for its high build quality and flow, drawing riders from across the province and cementing its status as one of the premier skate facilities in rural Saskatchewan.
