Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

The McKernan Skate Spot, located at 75 Avenue and 112 Street in Edmonton, Alberta, is a highly unique neighborhood facility perfect for warm-ups or casual sessions. Confirming the builder details, this creative project was designed and constructed by New Line Skateparks through a clever adaptive reuse strategy—transforming an old, unused community wading pool into a dynamic action sports spot.
The design is packed with character, featuring a mellow down-rail, gaps, ledges that can be hit from either side, and a unique embedded rock obstacle. The most distinctive terrain elements are the steep banks with inset benches, which serve as a direct architectural nod to the world-famous "China Banks" in San Francisco. More importantly, this spot carries deep emotional significance for the local scene. It was developed as a heartfelt tribute to Tyler "Teebs" Stuart, a beloved Edmonton skateboarder who passed away in 2009. Made possible by the combined efforts of the McKernan Community League, the City of Edmonton, and the Edmonton Skateboard Association, the McKernan Skate Spot stands as a deeply meaningful and heavily sessioned local gem.
