Matenpark skatepark is a 890 m² concrete skatepark in the Matenpark in Apeldoorn, replacing the older skatepark that had become outdated. The new park was designed as an organic, flowing landscape that works almost like a pumptrack, while still offering a wide variety of street and transition lines.
The project was commissioned by the Municipality of Apeldoorn. Burnside Constructions developed the initial concept, which was then translated by Mud Crew into the final organic concrete design. Mud Crew also handled the complete construction of the park.
The layout features flowing banks, transitions, ledges and other creative obstacles, with two large islands incorporated into the design. These open spaces can also be used for community activities, performances and other urban events. The park opened on 30 September 2025 and is designed for a broad range of wheeled sports and riding styles.
