The Mataderos Skatepark, officially located in Parque Alberdi, is a staple of the Buenos Aires skate scene. Situated at the corner of Av. Directorio and Av. Lisandro de la Torre, this park is celebrated not just for its terrain, but for its deep-rooted community culture. It is famously home to one of the city's longest-running free skate schools, which has been mentoring local youth for over a decade.
Designed by specialized architects in collaboration with the Argentine Skateboarding Association, the park is known for its high-quality construction and a layout that accommodates a wide variety of riding styles. It is a frequent host of the Juegos Porteños and other significant regional competitions.
The park is equipped with public lighting, making it a reliable spot for evening sessions.
