Mallacoota Skatepark is a modern concrete park at Develling Drive, close to the centre of Mallacoota. The park replaced an older early-1990s facility made from prefabricated steel ramps and was designed as a more welcoming, multi-use space for the local community. Its layout combines flowing transition and street sections with quarter pipes, half-pipes, a spine, handrails, banks and other obstacles, with the overall shape inspired by an abalone shell broken on the rocky shoreline of Mallacoota.
The redevelopment was designed by Baseplate and built by GrindProjects Pty Ltd. Construction began in February 2023 and the new skatepark opened in April 2023, just in time for the Easter holidays. The project was supported by the Mallacoota community following the 2019–20 bushfires and COVID-19, with funding from Bendigo Bank and local organisations.
After skating, you can explore the beaches and waterways of Mallacoota Inlet, or hike through Croajingolong National Park and its coastal forests.
