ABOUT SKATEPARK

Liberty skatepark

Liberty Skatepark is a concrete skatepark in Liberty Park, Renton, Washington. The park was completed in 2001, making it one of the older purpose-built concrete skateparks in the Seattle-area region. The City of Renton celebrated its 25th anniversary in June 2026.

The 8,400 sq ft (approx. 780 m²) park was designed by local professional skater Scott Yamamura, with the design developed through public workshops. It was constructed as a cast-in-place reinforced concrete skatepark on the site of a former community pool.

The layout includes bowl and transition terrain alongside street features, providing a mix of lines for different riding levels. After more than two decades of heavy use, the City of Renton is currently considering a more comprehensive renovation.
