Known affectionately among riders as "Lepuskin park," the legendary Leppävaara Skatepark in Espoo underwent a complete total transformation to become an unrivaled classic in the Finnish skateboarding scene. Spanning a massive 2,700 square meters, this mega-park was built in 2014 by Concreteproof in collaboration with Beaver Concrete for the City of Espoo, based on a master plan by Janne Saario.
As one of the largest and most diverse all-concrete facilities in Finland, the park flawlessly merges traditional street obstacles—such as crisp rails, granite ledges, and technical pyramids—with sweeping transition curves and endless, uninterrupted flow lines. Intentionally designed to blend into its surrounding environment, the park’s outer concrete structures extend directly into the adjacent pedestrian pathways, creating an authentic street-skating feel with continuous lines that set a benchmark for urban skatepark design.
