Lake Jackson skatepark

The new 8,800 sf poured in place, custom designed skatepark is a far cry from what it replaced. For years the City had wanted to renovate the existing pre-fabricated metal ramps fenced within the parking lot of the Recreation Center. The new facility is located next to the city’s dog park. The COVID-19 pandemic postponed the start of construction in early 2020, just a few weeks prior to the anticipated groundbreaking. Two years later SPA skatepark arrived on site and completed construction on an accelerated time table to have everyone skating before the beginning of the school year.
