ABOUT SKATEPARK

Kolbotn Skatepark

Kolbotn Skatepark, also known as Pyramiden Skatepark, is a large concrete skate and activity park in the centre of Kolbotn, Norway. The park was designed by Fritjof C. Krogvold of SkateLogic and built by Betongpark in 2014, with the wider project completed in 2015.

Covering approximately 1,200 m² of skatepark area, the park combines a long street section with a flowing bowl and transition features. The layout includes banks, flat rails, handrails, ledges, manual pads, a mini ramp, pyramid, quarter pipes and roll-ins, creating a variety of lines for different riding styles and abilities.

The park forms part of the wider Pyramiden activity park, which was developed as a major public recreation space in central Kolbotn. The broader project covers around 2,400 m² and was commissioned by Oppegård Municipality, with the skatepark designed by Krogvold to accommodate both experienced riders and beginners.

The name Pyramiden comes from the site's former landmark Christmas tree, which was removed during construction. The project also incorporated climbing and landscaped elements around the skate area, creating a more integrated public space rather than an isolated skatepark.
