ABOUT SKATEPARK

Kjenn Skatepark

Kjenn Skatepark is a 430 m² street-focused concrete skatepark located next to Kjenn School in Lørenskog, Norway. The park was designed by Fritjof Krogvold / SkateLogic, in collaboration with landscape architects Bjørbekk & Lindheim and with input from local skaters. It was built in 2014, with Park & Anlegg AS as the general contractor and Betongpark responsible for the concrete construction and finishing.

The skatepark is constructed primarily from cast-in-place concrete, with several granite elements incorporated into the design. Its layout is centred around street skating, with a variety of banks, ledges and other obstacles arranged across the relatively compact footprint. The design was developed specifically for the local skating community and forms part of the wider recreational area around Kjenn and Mailand.

In 2019, a wooden mini ramp from Sørlihavna Skatepark was relocated to Kjenn and refurbished with Skatelite, adding a transition element to the predominantly concrete street park.

The skatepark was commissioned by Lørenskog Municipality and was completed in September 2014. The project cost approximately NOK 4.9 million and covers around 430 m².
