ABOUT SKATEPARK

Keilor East skatepark

Keilor East Skatepark, also known as Rosehill Skatepark, is a smooth and fast-flowing concrete park located in Rosehill Park. The compact layout packs in plenty of lines, with banks, quarters, ramps, rails, boxes, volcanoes, gaps and a bump-to-bump section. Its mellow scale makes it particularly approachable for beginners and intermediate riders, while the flow of the park gives more experienced skaters plenty of possibilities for linking tricks together.

The skatepark was designed by Baseplate and built by Independent Concrete Constructions. Sources identify it as a project from around 2013, although I could not find a primary source confirming the exact opening date, so 2013 is best treated as the reported construction year rather than a fully verified opening year.

After skating, you can explore the recently redeveloped Rosehill Park and its new playspace, or head towards the Maribyrnong River for a walk and views across Melbourne's western suburbs.
