The Illnau-Effretikon Pumptrack is located at Sportzentrum Eselriet, 8307 Illnau-Effretikon, Canton of Zürich (ZH), Switzerland. Built to expand the recreation options at the local sports center, the facility was commissioned by the Municipality of Illnau-Effretikon (Gemeinde Illnau-Effretikon, Maître d'ouvrage) and constructed by Flying Metal(Flying Metal GmbH).
The asphalt track complex is designed around an eco-friendly concept featuring natural landscaping with gravel embankments, stone and branch piles for local wildlife, and an integrated retention basin that doubles as a small wetland biotope. The main circuit combines an easier inner pumptrack loop with a dedicated jumpline equipped with table jumps. Right next to the main seating and lounge area, a separate Mini Pump section provides a safe, accessible riding space specifically designed for young children and beginners. The track opened in 2021.
