The Idaho Springs Skatepark stands as a premier feature of the Master Plan Redesign for the Idaho Springs Sports and Events Complex, offering 11,500 square feet of world-class rideable terrain nestled in the heart of the Rockies. This state-of-the-art facility was designed and built by New Line Skateparks in close collaboration with the City of Idaho Springs and the Clear Creek Metropolitan Recreation District (CCMRD). The project was the result of a powerful community-driven effort, supported by local youth advocacy and significant funding from the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Land and Water Conservation Fund.
The park’s design features a sophisticated street-course and plaza hybrid with a unique triangular flow, where three distinct lanes radiate from a central island to provide endless creative lines. In a direct nod to the local community’s vision, the final concept honors a specific request for a backyard pool-style bowl featuring an elevated section for transition enthusiasts. Beyond the concrete, the park serves as a true social and recreational destination, integrated with generous spectator zones and landscape buffers that allow it to blend into the mountain town environment. Whether you are a local regular or a visitor exploring the Rockies, the Idaho Springs Skatepark offers an inclusive and vibrant space for the next generation of riders to progress and connect.
