ABOUT SKATEPARK

Hyde skatepark

Hyde Park Skatepark, officially Woodhouse Moor Skateboard Park, is a concrete skatepark in Woodhouse Moor (Hyde Park), Leeds. Leeds City Council lists the facility as an official skatepark within Woodhouse Moor. The current park dates from the early 2000s. A BBC report from May 2003 describes the existing skatepark as Leeds' oldest and most heavily used, and documents a major £240,000 upgrade already under construction. The upgrade introduced more robust concrete equipment, including a mini spine, hips, blocks and a large funbox, with completion expected in June 2004.

Bendcrete states that its Woodhouse project was built in 2004 and describes it as one of the first outdoor concrete skateparks in Leeds, using predominantly precast concrete with a mixture of street and transition.
