Harrodsburg Skatepark is located within Anderson-Dean Community Park, a large multi-sport recreation complex on Louisville Road in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. The skatepark was developed as a public recreation facility by Mercer County, with $41,500 in Land and Water Conservation Fund funding approved in 2005 for the Anderson-Dean Park Skate Park project. The available records indicate that the facility was developed during the second half of the 2000s, although an exact opening year has not been confirmed.
The skatepark became part of Harrodsburg's local skateboarding scene and was already hosting organised skateboarding activity by 2012, including a Game of Skate competition. Today it remains part of Anderson-Dean Community Park, alongside baseball and soccer fields, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, playgrounds, walking trails and an aquatic center.
The park provides a free public place for local skateboarders to ride and is integrated into one of Mercer County's main community recreation facilities.
