ABOUT SKATEPARK

Gjøvik Skatepark

Gjøvik Skatepark, also known as Jernbaneparken Skatepark, is a large cast-in-place concrete skatepark located in the centre of Gjøvik, Norway, next to Gjøvik Skysstasjon. The original skatepark was built by Betongpark in 2013 and officially opened on 7 June 2014 with the Gjøvik City Jam.

The park combines a large bowl with a street section, creating a varied layout suitable for both transition and street skating. The facility was built to a competition standard and hosted the Norwegian Skateboard Championships in 2014. The skatepark was later expanded by Betongpark in 2017–2018 as part of the second stage of the wider Jernbaneparken redevelopment. The expanded activity area now includes additional wheeled-sports facilities, a junior scooter area, climbing features, a playground, basketball and other recreational spaces.
