Fredrikstad Skatepark is a cast-in-place concrete skatepark on Glemmengata in Fredrikstad, Norway. The park was designed and built by Betongpark in 2014 and combines a compact street section with a flowing bowl, creating a versatile layout for different styles of skating.
The park features a bowl surrounded by a flow and street area, with banks, rails, ledges and a euro gap providing a mixture of transition and street obstacles. The concrete layout is designed to allow riders to connect different sections and maintain speed through the park.
The project was developed by Fredrikstad Municipality with significant input from the local skateboarding community. Two user meetings were held during the design process so local riders could contribute their wishes and ideas. Multiconsult was responsible for the skatepark design and engineering, while Betongpark AS carried out the specialist concrete skatepark construction. Park & Anlegg AS was the main contractor for the ground and landscape works, with Unicon supplying the concrete.
The approximately 662 m² facility consists of a 480 m² street area and a 182 m² bowl, with seating steps and surrounding areas incorporated into the project. The park hosted the Norwegian Skateboarding Championships in 2015, just one year after opening.
