Floresville Skatepark

Located southeast of San Antonio, the City of Floresville and its Economic Development Corporation have made it a priority to invest in modern, active park facilities for local families and youth. At the heart of these efforts was the city’s long-awaited vision for a custom public concrete skatepark—a first for Floresville. SPA Skateparks was honored to serve as the turnkey design-build contractor for the project, delivering the highly popular Floresville Skatepark, which features a diverse range of elements suitable for skaters of all skill levels. The skatepark is seamlessly integrated into its natural surroundings, nestled among mature oak trees that provide ample shade. The park features a bi-level, plaza-style street course, with each level designed to safely accommodate multiple users at once. A landscaped central area connects the two levels and includes multi-use ledges, stair sets, gap features, rails, manual pads, and a signature shovel hip. Construction details include integrally colored concrete and precision vertical lining on all ledges. During the build, the City added a 4-foot mini ramp via change order, further enhancing the skatepark’s versatility.
