ABOUT SKATEPARK

Faringdon skatepark

Faringdon Skatepark is an all-concrete skatepark located off Stanford Road in Faringdon, Oxfordshire. The park was designed and built by Gravity Skateparks and opened in 2012. The compact layout combines street and transition terrain, beginning with a quarterpipe and flat bank before dropping to a lower section with a stair set, rail, wallride and ledge. A pyramid with a rainbow hubba and another wallride provide further street features, while the far end incorporates a bowled edge, speed bowl and pump bump.

The park was developed following a long-running local campaign for a dedicated skate facility. Planning discussions were already underway by 2010, with the proposed park subsequently expanded from the originally planned 153 m² facility to approximately 450 m².
