The El Playon Skatepark, located in the heart of Ciudad Evita, is one of the most unique spots in the La Matanza district. Unlike many of the corporate or municipally designed parks in Buenos Aires, El Playon is a DIY project that has been built and maintained by the local skate community since 2012.
Located at the intersection of El Cardón and El Cabure, El Playon is a testament to the "DIY" spirit of Argentine skateboarding. What started as a simple flat concrete space has evolved over more than a decade into a full-scale skatepark, with obstacles funded, designed, and constructed by the skaters themselves. This grassroots history gives the park an authentic, welcoming, and high-energy atmosphere that you won't find at more sterile municipal facilities.
