Located at Douaneplein 4b, 2800 Mechelen, this park is a modern concrete plaza built to replace the older, modular ramps of the city. Designed and constructed by the renowned Dutch specialists SkateOn Skateparks in 2019, it was part of a larger masterplan to transform the Douaneplein site into "Transit M"—a dedicated "urban playground" for youth culture. It is famous for its smooth surface, artistic graffiti integration, and for being home to one of Belgium's most active DIY communities, which operates adjacent to the main park.
The park spans approximately 1,000 square meters and features a balanced design that blends street technicality with organic transition flow.
Just a few meters away, you will find the Mechelen DIY section. This is a skater-built area where local riders continue to pour concrete and build unique, rugged obstacles, giving the spot a "core" and authentic atmosphere that contrasts with the polished main park.
