Cuckfield Skatepark is a compact all-concrete park at Whitemans Green, just off Staplefield Road. Designed and built by Gravity Skateparks, it opened in 2010. The project was funded through a combination of Big Lottery funding (£40,000) and Section 106 funding (£25,000), with a total project budget of around £65,000.
The park makes good use of its relatively small footprint, with a series of ledges and a flat section leading into a flat-bottomed mini-ramp, which then flows into a rounded open bowl with metal coping. The layout provides a mixture of street and transition skating, while its smooth concrete surface makes it accessible to beginners as well as more experienced riders.
The skatepark was driven by the local community, with the project having been proposed by the parish council for several years before funding was secured. Local community involvement helped bring the facility to Whitemans Green, where it remains under the responsibility of Cuckfield Parish Council.
