Colmenar Viejo Skatepark, located in Parque El Mirador, is a concrete skatepark that was significantly expanded and renovated in 2018, replacing and incorporating parts of the original skate area dating from 2007. The new skatepark was built by SpokoRamps and officially inaugurated on 23 April 2018.
The redevelopment expanded the skate area considerably and introduced a large concrete bowl and undulating terrain, together with street elements including a pole jam, rainbow rail, slappie and corner grind blocks. The finished skate area covers approximately 1,000 m² and is designed for skateboarding, roller sports and BMX.
The project represented an investment of approximately €86,890 by the Ayuntamiento de Colmenar Viejo. The new facility was opened with a large community event attended by riders from across the Madrid region.
