Cardiff Barrage Skate Plaza is a 1,100 m² concrete street plaza located beside Cardiff Bay Barrage. Opened in July 2010, it was Cardiff's first purpose-built concrete skatepark and was developed in close consultation with local skateboarders.
Designed and built by Gravity Skateparks, the park has a distinctive urban aesthetic, combining concrete, brick and granite surfaces. The park was designed to recreate the feel of famous urban skating locations, with different materials and levels creating a variety of lines and technical challenges. Its location directly on Cardiff Bay Barrage also makes it one of the more distinctive skateboarding spots in Wales. Cardiff Council describes it as the city's first concrete skatepark and currently lists opening hours of 7:00–22:00.
