ABOUT SKATEPARK

Burgess skatepark

Burgess Skate Park is a 15,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility located at 700 Alma Street, Menlo Park, California. It was completed after a series of community outreach efforts and workshops held in the early 2000s. The design was developed by Wormhoudt, Inc., a renowned skatepark construction firm, with input from local skateboarders through collaborative workshops. The park officially opened as part of the Burgess Park complex, next to the Arrillaga Family Gymnasium.

The skatepark caters to skaters of all skill levels, featuring a variety of terrain including bowls, ledges, and street-style elements. Safety gear, such as helmets, elbow pads, and knee pads, is mandatory for all users. The park is open year-round and is also available for private rental.

In addition to regular daily use, the park occasionally hosts community skateboarding events and youth programs, making it a vibrant hub for the local skateboarding community.
