The Berkeley Skatepark, officially named the Orkin/Hsiang Memorial Skatepark, is located at 711 Harrison St. in Berkeley, California. It was opened to the public in 2002 and spans 18,000 square feet. The skatepark features a variety of elements, including a large oval bowl, a fun box, street-style sections with rails, ledges, and banks, making it suitable for skateboarders of all skill levels.

The skatepark was named in memory of Justin Orkin and Edward Hsiang, two local skateboarders who tragically passed away in a car accident. A mural at the park honors their memory, contributing to its significance in the local skateboarding community.

The park is open daily and free to use, with safety measures such as mandatory helmet use. Special events, camps, and clinics are often held at the park, adding to its vibrant community presence. Events like youth skateboarding clinics and community gatherings are common.

For a more detailed experience, skaters can also rent the park for special events. The facility is managed by the City of Berkeley, and they provide ongoing maintenance to ensure the park's quality. Despite initial construction challenges, including delays due to contaminated groundwater, the park remains a key recreational spot in Berkeley today.
