ABOUT SKATEPARK

Basildon skatepark

Basildon Skatepark, also known as Gloucester Park Skatepark, is a modern 647 m² concrete skatepark in Gloucester Park, Basildon, Essex. The current facility replaced an ageing metal-and-tarmac skatepark that had been installed approximately 17 years earlier. The new park, built in 2021, features a flowing street-style layout with multiple quarter pipes, banks, a funbox, jump box, spine, manual pad, ledges, rails and a mini ramp, providing a mixture of lines for different riding levels.

The skatepark was designed and built by Bendcrete Skateparks. Bendcrete's project references confirm Basildon Council as the client, a £190,000 budget, a 647 m² area, and Phil Russell of Bendcrete as designer.
