ABOUT SKATEPARK

Barrio Jardín-Villa Elvira skatepark

The Barrio Jardín-Villa Elvira Skatepark (often simply called the Skatepark de la 83) is an authentic community-built spot in the southern outskirts of La Plata. Born from the "Presupuesto Participativo" (Participatory Budget) initiative where local residents voted for its construction, it has become a vital social and athletic landmark for the Villa Elvira neighborhood.

Located at Calle 83 and Diagonal 620, this skatepark is the soul of the southern La Plata skate scene. It is more than just a place to ride; it is the home of a Free Municipal Skate School that has been operating for over a decade, providing local youth with equipment and lessons. Recently updated in 2023 with a modern "thematic" play area for children and improved infrastructure, it has evolved into a multi-generational plaza that keeps the neighborhood vibrant day and night.

It is a famous training ground for the Juegos Bonaerenses (Provincial Games), so you'll often see high-level local talent practicing alongside the kids from the skate school. Free and open to the public 24/7.
