The Banksia Grove Skatepark in Western Australia is a standout addition to the City of Wanneroo, designed to celebrate the region’s deeply rooted surf and skate culture. This facility was designed by New Line Skateparks and built by Advanteering Civil Engineers. Realized through a joint funding partnership between the City of Wanneroo, Lotterywest, and the Banksia Grove Development, the park has quickly become a vibrant youth precinct and a focal point for the local community since its opening.
The park’s design is noted for its high-performance layout and unique "skateable sculptural elements" that blend artistic flair with functional progression. The terrain offers a diverse experience for all wheels, featuring a smooth concrete flow bowl, a large street-style plaza area, and a sunken mini-ramp—a favorite for those looking to hone their transition skills. The facility is praised for its high-quality finish and intuitive flow, making it equally appealing to experienced riders and younger children just starting out. Nestled within the broader Grandis Park development, the skatepark is surrounded by family-friendly amenities, ensuring it serves as an inclusive, high-energy destination where riders of all generations can connect and progress.
