Balnarring Skatepark is a concrete park in Civic Court, combining a split-level continuous bowl with a street section and large carving bank. The bowl reaches approximately 2.2 metres deep, while the plaza includes ledges, rails, banks, stairs and other low-level street obstacles. The layout was developed to offer a mix of transition and street skating in a relatively compact space.
The skatepark was designed by Playce and Baseplate, with input from the local community, and constructed by Precision Skateparks. The project was completed in 2014 after the Mornington Peninsula Shire allocated funding for a new Balnarring/Bittern skate facility.
After skating, you can head to Balnarring Beach for a swim and coastal walk, or explore the nearby wineries and food producers of the Mornington Peninsula.
