The Bairnsdale Skatepark is located along the E Gippsland Rail Trail (Main Street), Bairnsdale, Victoria 3875, Australia. Commissioned by East Gippsland Shire Council (Maître d'ouvrage) with co-funding from the Victorian Government's Community Sports Infrastructure Fund, the $450,000 facility upgrade was designed by Baseplate (in collaboration with EastbyWest) and constructed by GrindProjects.
Built to replace an aging community-built park established over two decades prior, the modern facility was developed following community consultation and user workshops. Engineered using smooth poured concrete, the regional hub features a multi-disciplinary layout that includes an enclosed kidney bowl complete with authentic pool coping, a plaza-style street course, and transition sections tailored to skateboarders, scooter riders, and BMX bikes of all skill levels.
