Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

Palatset Skatepark, located at Axel Johnsons väg 73 in Avesta, Sweden, is an expansive outdoor concrete facility recognized as one of the country's early masterclasses in modern concrete design. The park came together after local riders pushed for a premier, long-lasting destination, leading the Avesta municipality to back a serious build. The city brought in legendary Swiss skatepark architect Stefan Hauser, founder of Bowl Riders, to design and direct the entire construction phase. Following months of precision concrete pouring, the 1,500-square-meter facility officially celebrated its grand opening in the autumn of 2007.
Hauser's layout is heavily focused on transition flow while keeping a highly technical perimeter for street skaters. The heart of the park features an intricate, multi-depth concrete bowl setup complete with tight pockets, hips, and extensions designed for locking in long, high-speed lines. Directly alongside the main bowl network sits a dedicated standalone concrete miniramp. The street section wraps around the transition elements, offering a clean mix of modern banks, quarter pipes, flatbars, handrails, hubba ledges, and curbs scattered over a smooth concrete slab.
Situated directly within the lively Avesta Sportparken, positioned between the Metropoolen public swimming pool and the Avestavallen ice rink, the skatepark shares space with a parkour course, basketball courts, and an outdoor gym. The facility is completely public, free to ride, and welcoming to skateboards, inline skates, BMX bikes, and scooters. The site features integrated grilling areas for spectators and is fully equipped with overhead sports lighting run on a user-triggered timer system, allowing locals to keep sessions going well into the dark Nordic nights.
