The Atxondo Pumptrack is located at Barrio la Estación, 1, 48291 Atxondo (Apatamonasterio), Biscay, Spain(situated next to the old railway station building and the municipal skate bowl). Commissioned by the Atxondoko Udala / Ayuntamiento de Atxondo (Maître d'ouvrage) to provide a sports hub in the valley, the track was designed and constructed by Basque specialist builder PoolSport Soluciones (Zuinbike Parks by PoolSport) in 2021.
Nestled directly under the dramatic limestone walls of Mount Anboto, the area provides immediate access to the Vía Verde de Arrazola, a paved and packed-gravel greenway running along a former mining railway line through lush rural countryside, making it a scenic spot for longboard cruising and cycling.
The region is steeped in Basque folklore, centered around the majestic peak of Mount Anboto, famously known as the home of Mari, the supreme goddess of Basque mythology, as well as the world-renowned countryside dining spot Asador Etxebarri down the road in Axpe.
