The Asheville Skatepark, located at 50 Cherry St N, Asheville, NC 28801, holds the distinction of being North Carolina's first public concrete skatepark, having opened in 2000. Initially constructed by Team Pain Skateparks, the park has undergone various enhancements to maintain its status as a premier skateboarding destination.
In 2023, the City of Asheville, in collaboration with Artisan Skateparks, undertook significant renovations to modernize the facility. These improvements included the addition of a new entry plaza, several new ledges, and essential maintenance to existing structures.
