Skate Architects is a Barcelona based Skateboarding Architecture studio specialized in Skateplazas, Skatespots and Skateparks. We have worked on urban, landscape, cultural, residential, comercial and sport projects for both public and private sectors since 2002. We focus on one of our long life passions besides Architecture: Skateboarding. We combine our direct knowledge of both worlds to create the best skate public spaces and facilities available for each project and budget, as we would like to skate them ourselves. There is a relationship between public space architecture and skateboarding, and it’s in this interesting threshold that we establish our line of work. Beside our practice, we teach at universities and international workshops, we do research through PhD studies and we take part in cultural promotion in architectural institutions, as well as collaborating in skateboarding associations.
